DEVILS (4-3-3) at HURRICANES (3-4-3)
6 p.m. ET; MSG+, FS-CR, NHL.TV

Devils team scope

New Jersey Devils goaltender Keith Kinkaid will make his second start of the season after Cory Schneider made 31 saves in a 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Saturday. Kinkaid made 26 saves in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 28. The Devils are winless on the road (0-3-2). Forwards Jacob Josefson and Reid Boucher will play, with Devante Smith-Pelly and Sergey Kalinin coming out, but coach John Hynes said he has not set his lines. "We're going to give Reid a good opportunity in today's game to play well 5-on-5, and I would anticipate him on a special team. When a guy comes in we have to give him a chance to be successful." Boucher, who has one assist in three games, had been scratched the past four games.

Hurricanes team scope

Eddie Lack will be in goal Sunday for the Carolina Hurricanes. Coach Bill Peters said it would be the only lineup change from the 3-2 shootout win against the Nashville Predators on Saturday. In that game, goaltender Cam Ward made 25 saves in making his fifth straight start. This will be Lack's first game since Oct. 22 against the Philadelphia Flyers. Jaccob Slavin scored the only goal of the shootout Saturday. The Hurricanes overcame two one-goal deficits, including getting the game-tying goal on Ron Hainsey's first NHL shorthanded goal, which came in his 845th game. "I was pretty sure I had not scored a shorthanded goal," Hainsey said. "The timing was good certainly."
