The center was named the NHL's top penalty-killer by The Hockey News following the 2012-13 season.
McClement was a scoring star during his junior career, which he spent with Brampton of the Ontario Hockey League. He completed his Brampton career with the 2002-03 season and ranked second on the team's all-time scoring list with 182 points (91 goals).
McClement came to the NHL as a second-round pick (No. 57) of the St. Louis Blues in the 2001 NHL Draft. He made his debut on Oct. 5, 2005 and six days later became the fifth player to score his first NHL goal on a penalty shot, beating Nikolai Khabibulin of the Chicago Blackhawks.
McClement also scored the first road penalty-shot goal in St. Louis Blues history, beating Jose Theodore of the Colorado Avalanche on Dec. 9, 2007.
