Vegas goalie Malcolm Subban will make his fourth consecutive start in place of Marc-Andre Fleury, who is out with a lower body injury. He is 3-0-0 with a goals-against average of 2.00 and a .923 save percentage in his past three starts, including his first NHL shutout in a 5-0 win against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday.
Golden Knights forward Max Pacioretty will not play after sustaining a lower-body injury against the Jets. He is day-to-day.
The Red Wings have lost 13 of their past 16 games (3-10-3) and are playing the third game of a five-game road trip. Jimmy Howard will start in goal.
