Colorado, which looks to win its third straight game, is two points behind the Minnesota Wild for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference.
The Jets, who trail the Nashville Predators by two points for first place in the Central Division and are 7-2-2 in their past 11 games, adjusted their lines in a 4-3 overtime win against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday and plan to keep them intact against the Avalanche. Forwards Nikolaj Ehlers and Patrik Laine will play on the third line with center Andrew Copp, and Kyle Connor moves up to the first line at left wing. Mathieu Perreault and Jack Roslovic move to the second line, playing with center Bryan Little.
