The 34-year-old goalie, who has appeared in 432 games for Chicago, third most in Blackhawks history, has not played since he was injured in a 7-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Dec. 16. He was medically cleared on Monday.
Chicago, which has lost two straight after going 10-2-0 in their previous 12 games, is six points behind the Dallas Stars for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference.
The Ducks were three points out of the second wild card after a 4-0 win at the Minnesota Wild on Feb. 19 but have been outscored 8-2 in a three-game losing streak to drop 10 points behind the Stars. Anaheim is 3-11-0 in their past 14 games.
