Status report

Gibson did not practice Friday. He has not skated since sustaining a lower-body injury late in the second period Monday in a 2-0 win against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. Ducks coach Randy Carlyle told the Orange County Register that if Gibson did not improve he would likely go on injured reserve. …Tocchet said Kuemper would make his Coyotes debut Sunday against the Vancouver Canucks at Gila River Arena. The Coyotes acquired Kuemper on Wednesday from the Los Angeles Kings for forward Tobias Rieder and goalie Scott Wedgewood.
