DON'T CALL IT A TRAP GAME
Coming off one of their best games of the year with a 4-1 win in Pittsburgh, the Jets make a quick pitstop at home with a game against the Arizona Coyotes. Arizona has now dropped eight straight games after their loss at Minnesota last night. You can understand why you could be calling this a trap game for the top team in the Central Division, but Jets head coach Rick Bowness doesn't want to talk about that.
"It's an important game for us in the standings. We're going on a five-game road trip," said Bowness this morning.
"So, let's not get wrapped up in this trap game stuff. Bottom line is this team (Arizona) gave Minnesota all they could handle last night."
The Jets are 11-3-0 against their Central Division counterparts this season, with two of the three losses coming on the road.

IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE
Cole Perfetti registered his second three-assist game of the season on Friday. He did that after leaving Thursday's game in Buffalo with an illness and wasn't feeling 100 per cent in Pittsburgh either. He's the first player in franchise history to have two three-assist games as a rookie and the only NHL rookie to have multiple three-assist games this season. Peter Stastny holds the NHL record for most three-assist games by a rookie with six during the 1980-81 season
BARRON RETURNS
After a run in with the flu, Jets forward Morgan Barron will come back into the lineup tonight against Arizona. Barron missed the last two games of the road trip in Buffalo and Pittsburgh with an illness. He will likely return to the left side with Adam Lowry and Karson Kuhlman. Sam Gagner will come out of the lineup, so the fourth line will consist of Kevin Stenlund, Axel Jonsson-Fjallby and Saku Maenalanen.
