The Calgary Flames announced today that they have acquired forward Curtis Lazar and defenceman Mike Kostka from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Jyrki Jokipakka and Calgary's second round pick in 2017.
Lazar, a first round pick (17th overall) by the Senators in the 2013 NHL Draft, has played 33 games for Ottawa this season. The 22-year-old captained the gold medal-winning Team Canada squad at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships in Toronto and Montreal. Lazar has played 176 regular season games in the NHL and recorded 36 points (12G, 24A) and 36 PIMs and he also skated in six playoff games for the Sens.
