FLAMES DEBUTS
Several players will be making their Calgary Flames' debuts tonight in Edmonton: forwards Troy Brouwer, Kris Versteeg, Alex Chiasson, defenceman Nicklas Grossman and goaltenders Brian Elliott and Chad Johnson will all don the Flaming C for the first time in the regular season.
Matthew Tkachuk will not only be making his Flames debut but his NHL debut as well. The 18-year-old was the sixth overall selection in the 2016 NHL Draft and has earned a spot on Calgary's opening night roster.

SEASON OPENERS VS. EDMONTON
The Flames have opened the season against the Oilers five times and hold a 2-3-0-0-0 record in those contests. Tonight's match-up will mark the fifth time the Flames have traveled to Edmonton to open up their road schedule.
