Fresh off a season opening win, the Ducks (1-0-0) return to Honda Center for their home opener against the Panthers (1-0-1).

Puck drop is set for 5 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on Prime Video and FOX Los Angeles + (Channel 13 KCOP).

Dating back to 2016, Anaheim has won 10 straight home openers, good for a franchise record. A win tonight would give the team their 11th, which would tie the Bruins for the longest active streak in the NHL.

The home opener will feature many exciting activations including the annual Orange Carpet player arrivals, new merch, the first Surprise Puck sale of the season, and more. Fans are also encouraged to be in their seats by 4:45 p.m. for pregame warmups and the debut of a new on-ice pregame show.

The Ducks return home with a victory under their belt after beating the Golden Knights, 4-3, on Friday.

“I think this is a big win for us,” head coach Joel Quenneville said. “We had a strong start, pretty even, then all of a sudden, we started scoring some goals there. I thought our pace was excellent. I thought we did a lot of good things pressuring up to all zones there to create some odd-man situations. Our speed was effective.”

Leo Carlsson had a goal and assist in the game while Beckett Sennecke, Alex Killorn, and Jeff Malott netted the other three scores.

Noah Warren, who made his NHL debut, had a primary assist good for his first career point.

A.J. Greer, who is set to face his former team tonight, earned his first point as a member of the Ducks with an assist vs Vegas.

Tonight’s game also welcomes the return of Radko Gudas to Honda Center. Now a member of the Panthers, the former Ducks captain talked about returning to “familiar territory” and gave a first-hand scouting report on his prior team.

“They’re a young, talented team,” Gudas said of the Ducks. “They have all the right tools early in their career so they’re an exciting team to watch. They’re an exciting team to play against so we’re really excited. Especially for me, it’s going to be a special night coming back so I’m really looking forward to this.”

The Panthers come into this game off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Sharks on Thursday. Center Aleksander Barkov exited the game in the second period with a leg injury and was placed on long-term injured reserve on Saturday.
