Ducks 2026-27 Home Opener

The Home Opener for the highly anticipated 2026-27 Ducks season presented by UCI Health is Sunday, October 4 at 5 p.m. as the Ducks host the Florida Panthers at Honda Center.

Orange Carpet Arrivals
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the Home Opener to support Ducks players as they walk the Orange Carpet starting at 1:30 p.m. 

Kids' Socks Giveaway
The first 1,000 children age 12-and-under attending the Home Opener will receive kids’ socks presented by Chick-fil-A SoCal.

Modelo Puck Drop Patio
Following Orange Carpet arrivals, fans are welcome to continue the celebration at the Modelo Puck Drop Patio, which will feature a live DJ and brand-new Ducks merchandise. As a bonus, 12oz cans of Modelo will be available for only $5 exclusively at Modelo Puck Drop Patio until 5 p.m.

Surprise Puck Sales
In support of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, the first of four Surprise Puck sales of the season will take place in the Modelo Puck Drop Patio beginning at 3 p.m. This annual fan-favorite fundraiser will feature a Home Opener surprise puck for sale for $30 each and will be sold on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. All pucks are autographed, individually wrapped and selected at random. Fans will receive either a Ducks player-autographed commemorative puck or a surprise Ducks player-autographed orange winner puck. The lucky winners of the Surprise Puck Sale will receive an autographed Anaheim Ducks home jersey by the player who signed the orange winner puck. All proceeds will benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation.

Pregame Festivities
Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 4:45 p.m. to cheer on the team during warmups, which will be followed by the debut of the new on-ice pregame show and opening night festivities, including the introduction to the team’s 21st Duck for 2026-27 and special introductions of players, coaches and trainers.

Orange Carpet Arrivals (Tickets Required)

Join fellow Ducks fans at our annual tradition: the Orange Carpet. This event gives attendees an opportunity to greet players as they arrive for the Home Opener at Honda Center. Ticketed fans will be able to line up along the perimeter and watch players walk down the Orange Carpet, hear from DJ JoJo and in-arena host Ally Kay and see appearances from Ducks Street Team and Power Players.

Event Timeline  
11 a.m. - Cerritos Garage open for parking  
12:30 p.m. - Orange Carpet viewing area opens 
1:30 p.m. - Orange Carpet starts
3 p.m. - Orange Carpet ends; Modelo Puck Drop Patio and Honda Center doors open 
4:45 p.m. - Be in your seats for the pregame show!
5:00 p.m. - Ducks vs. Panthers puck drop

Orange Carpet Details

  • Space at the Orange Carpet is limited, and access to the viewing area will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
  • A Ducks vs. Panthers game ticket is REQUIRED to enter Orange Carpet viewing area.
  • All guests must undergo security screening before entering the Orange Carpet viewing area.
  • Honda Center Building Policies and Prohibited Items apply to the Orange Carpet.
  • Autographs and photos from players are not guaranteed.
  • HEAT ADVISORY: With high temperatures expected on Sunday, please dress and hydrate accordingly.

Event Parking 

  • Cerritos Garage opens at 11 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted into garage before 11 a.m. For guests attending Orange Carpet, Cerritos Garage is recommended for parking.
  • Lot 4 opens at 11 a.m. No vehicles will be permitted into Lot 4 before 11:00 a.m.
  • Katella Garage opens at 1:30 p.m.
  • River Garage opens at 1:30 p.m. A Preferred Parking Pass is required for entry.

Kids' Socks Giveaway

The first 1,000 children in attendance at the Home Opener and every Sunday home game this season will receive free kids’ socks presented by Chick-fil-A SoCal!

Ducklings 12 years old and younger can redeem these special socks at Puck Drop Patio while supplies last. Limit one pair per child.

21st Duck

The Ducks will continue the tradition of creating a spot on their Opening Night roster for the 21st Duck, to honor a fan who embodies characteristics such as great perseverance, character, courage, inspiration or a fan who is making significant contributions to our community.
