Devils Victors on Day 7 of Worlds | WORLDS

Day 7 of the World Championship will feature a few Devils in action. Dawson Mercer will suit up for Team Canada to play Norway. While Luke Hughes will be representing Team USA against France. Both games will be at 2:20 p.m. ET.

TEAM USA 5, FRANCE 0

USA: Luke Hughes

Devils defenseman Luke Hughes picked up an assist and plus-2 in 18:29 minutes of game action as Team USA defeated France, 5-0, Thursday at Ostrava Arena. 

Matt Boldy scored twice while Johnny Gaudreau, Brock Nelson and Shane Pinto chipped in with goals. Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic stopped all 10 shots against for the shutout.

USA improved to 2-0-1-1 during the tournament.

CANADA 4, NORWAY 1

CAN: Dawson Mercer, Nico Daws

Devils goalie Nico Daws stopped five of six shots against for Team Canada in a 4-1 victory against Norway Thursday at Prague Arena.

Dylan Cozens, Andrew Mangiapane, Brandon Tanev and Jared McCann scored for the Canadians, which improved to 3-1-0-0.

UP NEXT:

Forward Ondrej Palat and host Czechia will face Austria at Prague Arena Friday. Defenseman Luke Hughes and Team USA will play Poland at Ostrava Arena. Both games will be at 2:20 p.m. ET.
