Spring is here. Summer is around the corner, and city folks will soon head eastbound on the 20 or 40 to Quebec City, Gaspé or Lac-Saint-Jean.

Before you know it, it'll be time for family road trips, afternoons by the pool and nights by the fire with friends and a cold one in hand. By that point, you'll probably be playing Saguenay-native Rafael Harvey-Pinard's playlist on full blast.
"I listen to a lot of music from Quebec," said the Canadiens' energetic forward.
It's not hard to believe. HP, as he is affectionately called by his teammates, has put together a list of songs that demonstrates a great appreciation for many recent - and not so recent - classics from La Belle Province.
If the last decade is embodied by FouKi, 2Frères and Alicia Moffet, we jump back in time to the 90s with the Colocs' "Tassez-vous de d'là" and Marjo's "Provocante".
A nod to Quebec's cultural heritage, the 2003 participants of the reality TV show Star Académie sung their rendition of "Et c'est pas fini", originally performed by Emmanuelle. And no, Annie Villeneuve was not the first to sing "Mais c'est le plus beau des commencemeeeents".
In the same vein of unforgettable content from the entertainment industry from the new millennium, the Les Boys III movie is represented by Gabrielle Destroismaisons' "Et Cetera". Yes, that's the one with Jose Theodore.
Hockey fans will recognize Loco Locass' "Hymne à Québec", which could be heard in the reality TV series La Série Montréal-Québec and "Mettre du tape su' ma palette" by the late Bob Bissonnette, a former QMJHL enforcer turned singer.
Note that some tracks may contain explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.
Kaïn and Les Cowboys Fringants top the playlist with three songs each, but nothing rivals the latter band in the heart (and ears) of No. 49. "It's my favorite music. I saw them in concert this past summer, actually. It was the fourth time I saw them, and they were just as good as the first three times]," shared Harvey-Pinard with canadiens.com at the start of the season.
How nice is that?
