The Wild arrive in Montreal on an eight-game win streak, coming off a 2-0 shutout of the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.
It marked a fifth clean sheet this season for Devan Dubnyk, who leads all NHL goaltenders in that category, as well as goals allowed (1.55) and save percentage (0.948).
Eric Staal for his part -- the League's reigning third star of the week -- leads the Wild with 10 goals and 15 assists.
The Habs meanwhile should have a similar lineup to the one that beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-1 in convincing fashion on Tuesday.
Montreal will once again be without the services of Andrei Markov, who continues to nurse a lower body suffered last Saturday in Washington. The Russian rearguard will miss a second consecutive game, and is a question mark for Friday's contest in Columbus.
Carey Price will be back in goal after facing just 13 shots against the Ducks.
Jeff Petry, who now has seven points (4G-3A) in his last five games, will be looking to extend his three-game goal streak to four, while Paul Byron (11G-8A) is now just two points shy of his career best 21 set in 2013-14.
Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and will be broadcast on SN360 and RDS in Canada.
