SUNRISE - Another day, another opportunity for Habs fans to catch the Canadiens' young hopefuls in action at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Oliver Kapanen, Adam Engstrom, Lane Hutson, Vinzenz Rohrer and Joshua Roy hit the ice on Thursday.
Latvia 0 - Finland 3
The Finns won a second game in a row and have yet to lose in regulation this year. Captain Kapanen registered two shots on goal and maintained a success rate of 56% in the faceoff circle. The center led all forwards in Time On Ice with 19:40.
Sweden 3 - Czechia 2 (OT)
Sweden remains undefeated in the tournament with an overtime win over the Czechs. Defenseman Engstrom was left off the scoresheet but recorded a shot on goal and a plus-1 differential in 18:35 on the ice.
USA 5 - Switzerland 2
Hutson and the Americans were victorious against Switzerland, peppering their opponents with 42 shots against the Swiss' 19. The defenseman, selected 62nd overall by the Canadiens in 2022, spent 17:43 on the ice and had one shot on goaltender Alessio Beglieri.
Austria 0 - Canada 11
For a second night in a row, Canada scored 11 goals and Roy contributed with a goal and a pair of helpers. He also posted a differential of plus-5 in 15:55 on the ice.

On the other side, Rohrer played 19:20 and ended the game with a minus-3 differential.

Filip Mesar and Slovakia will take on Latvia at 11:00 a.m. ET, while Rohrer and the Austrians will face the Germans at 4:30 p.m. ET.
