BOSTON, MA -The Boston Bruins announced today that they will host a day of hockey at TD Garden by hosting the second annual Bruins Girls Hockey Day and the second annual Battle of the Badges on Sunday, March 4. The day's events will kick off with Girls Hockey Day starting at 8:00 a.m. and will see over 400 participants from across New England skate on TD Garden ice for seven straight hours of hockey. Special guests throughout the day will include members of the Boston Blades, Boston Pride, and Bruins Alumni Andy Brickley and Tommy Songin. They will lead on-ice clinics as well as a Q and A session.

Following the Girls Hockey Day events, the Bruins will host the second annual Battle of the Badges hockey game at 4:30 p.m. The Boston Fire Hockey Club and the Boston Police Hockey Club will face off to raise money for the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation and Franciscan Children's. Last year, the Boston Fire Hockey Club won the inaugural Battle of the Badges game and raised $20,000 for the Boston Bruins Foundation.

Bruins Academy Learn to Play Girls Free Skate
WHEN: 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
WHAT: 75 girls from the Bruins Academy Learn to Play program from around New England will participate in a free skate to kick off Girls Hockey Day. Bruins Academy Learn to Play is a learn to play program for boys and girls ages 4-9. For just $100 ($500 retail value), the Bruins Academy program includes full CCM equipment to keep, including skates, a professional equipment fitting, and four weeks of on-ice instruction. The session will consist of approximately 75 girls on the ice in a public skate format.
U10 Half Ice Jamboree
WHEN: 9:00-10:20 a.m.
WHAT: U10 girls teams, including Waltham Youth Hockey, Milton Youth Hockey, Melrose Youth Hockey, and Lady Crusaders, will play in a half-ice round robin jamboree.
U12 Skills with members of the Boston Blades, Boston Pride, and Bruins Alumni Tommy Songin
WHEN: 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
WHAT: U12 girls teams from around New England, including the North Shore Vipers, will participate in a clinic led by Bruins alumni Tommy Songin, Jetta Rackleffof the Boston Blades, and members of the Boston Pride including Kaleigh Fratkin, Marissa Gedman, Kaliya Johnson, Mary Parker, Elizabeth Parker, and Kathryn Tomaselli. Songin, The Boston Pride, and Boston Blades players will be on ice with the group. Following the on-ice clinics, the U12 team will have a Q&A session with the Boston Pride players.
U12 Game: Charles River Blazers vs. Boch Conquistadors
WHEN: 11:40 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.
WHAT: The Charles River Blazers will take on the Boch Conquistadors.
High School Clinic with members of the Boston Blades, Boston Pride, and Bruins alumni Andy Brickley & Tommy Songin
WHEN: 12:50 - 1:50 p.m.
WHAT: The Boston Latin girls hockey team and the Marshfield High School girls hockey team will participate in a clinic led by Jetta Rackleff of the Boston Blades, Boston Pride players Kaleigh Fratkin, Marissa Gedman, Kaliya Johnson, Mary Parker, Elizabeth Parker, and Kathryn Tomaselli,and Bruins Alumni Andy Brickey and Tommy Songin.
Women's Learn to Play led by Bruins Alumni Andy Brickley & Tommy Songin
WHEN: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
WHAT: Women from the Zambeauties and Tailgater Hockey, both women's leagues for female players of any skill level, will participate in an on- ice clinic led by former Bruin Tommy Songin and Andy Brickley.
