Over the last 49 years, only members of the Missouri Athletic Club have been eligible to vote for the Sports Personality of the Year at the annual Jack Buck Sports Awards.
Because 2020 has been unlike any other year in sports history - with shortened seasons in empty arenas and stadiums - the Missouri Athletic Club has decided to let St. Louis sports fans cast their vote for the Top 50 St. Louis Sports Personalities of the past 50 years (1970-2020) through an
online ballot
.

Fans can
write in their votes
- (submit up to 50 names!) - now through Friday, Oct. 30 at
mac-stl.org
.
The Top 50 selections will be revealed in December during a countdown at the Jack Buck Sports Awards banquet. The show will air live on KMOX 1120 AM and will later air on FOX Sports Midwest.
Suggestions for this year's Top 50 include Craig Berube, Jordan Binnington, Ryan O'Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko - all of which played critical roles in capturing the first Stanley Cup in Blues franchise history. Other Blues legends such as Hall of Famers Brett Hull, Al MacInnis, Bernie Federko, Wayne Gretzky, Brendan Shanahan, and Chris Pronger are eligible write-ins, as is current Blues Chairman Tom Stillman and General Manager Doug Armstrong - each of which helped make the championship run in 2019 possible.
Previous Blues players and personalities to win an award at the Jack Buck Sports Awards include: Berube, Tarasenko, MacInnis, Shanahan, Pronger, Hull, Federko, Stillman, Curtis Joseph, Mike Liut, Bob Plager, Barret Jackman, T.J. Oshie, Keith Tkachuk, Ron Caron, Kelly Chase and John Davidson.
