Petro's WCH blog: The ticket dilemma

St. Louis Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo is representing his country at the World Cup of Hockey, which is being held Sept. 17 through Oct. 1 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. It's an exciting time for the 26-year-old - not just because he's playing for Team Canada, but because he gets to do so in front of his family and friends since the tournament is being hosted less than an hour from his hometown. Throughout the World Cup of Hockey, Pietrangelo will be keeping a blog exclusively for stlouisblues.com to share his experience of playing for Team Canada.
So what are you supposed to do when you have only six tickets to the World Cup of Hockey and way more than six friends and family members that want to go?
Here's what I did: I gave all six tickets to my parents and said "you guys figure it out!"

In actuality, my dad, mom and wife, Jayne, are going to all of the games, so that only leaves three extra tickets to share with my friends and family for each game. But who uses them and when - well, that's up to my parents.
A lot of my friends from my hometown in King City (about an hour outside of Toronto) understand that tickets are hard to come by and so a lot of them are trying to find tickets on their own.
If we go to the finals, though, I'm probably going to have to figure out a way to get more.
Things are going good here, though. Last night's game against the United States was competitive - they always are - and we're looking forward to tonight's meeting against Team Europe (7 p.m., ESPN2), who is proving to be a tough opponent for a lot of teams.
Nothing during this tournament is going to come easy.
