ST. LOUIS - This should be good.
The St. Louis Blues will meet the Nashville Predators on Friday night (7 p.m., FSMW, FSGO, KMOX) for the first time since last season's Western Conference semifinal matchup. Excluding an empty-net goal in Game 6, five of the six games in the series were decided by one goal.
The Blues are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games and rank first overall in the NHL, while the Predators are 8-2-0 in their last 10.

The Blues are coming off their biggest offensive output of the season, scoring eight goals against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night. It was their highest goal total since scoring 10 against the Detroit Red Wings on March 30, 2011. Brayden Schenn scored two goals and two assists to extend his career-long point streak to eight games, Jaden Schwartz added a goal and three assists, and Vladimir Tarasenko had a Gordie Howe hat trick and then added another goal and an assist in the 8-3 win at Scottrade Center.

The Predators scored a 3-2 shootout win against the Canadiens on Wednesday. Filip Forsberg scored two goals to extend his point streak to six games and the newly-acquired Kyle Turris scored in the shootout to give Nashville the victory.
Forsberg leads his club with 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists), while P.K. Subban ranks second with 17 points (four goals, 13 assists). Goalie Pekka Rinne is 12-3-0 with a 2.44 goals-against average and a .922 save-percentage.
Tonight's game will be the Blues' fourth game against a Central Division foe - St. Louis is 3-0-0 against divisional rivals this season.
