ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have assigned defenseman Chris Butler to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

Butler, 30, has dressed in 11 games as captain of the Wolves this season, posting one goal and one assist.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defenseman has appeared in 387 career regular season NHL games, accumulating 84 points (13 goals, 71 assists) and 185 penalty minutes. During his Blues career, the St. Louis native has played in 38 regular season games, logging nine points (three goals, six assists) and 27 penalty minutes.
