Following another comeback for the ages against Nashville in Game 1 of the 2015 First Round, the Blackhawks fell apart in 48 hours later.

A back-and-forth opening half hour of Game 2 saw Chicago tie the game twice from a goal down, courtesy of the Patricks, Sharp and Kane. From there, though, it was all Nashville, scoring four straight to take a 6-2 victory -- the most lopsided loss the entire 2015 Cup run.

2015 REWIND

"We had faced them five years earlier, the core group of guys did, in 2010 and we just got by them that year to go on to win our first Stanley Cup," said Patrick Sharp. "Now you've got a new series against a team that's going to play a similar style, they're going to be in your face, they're going to play fast, hard (and) that building is tough to play in."

Back in Chicago for Game 3 in a tie series, it was time to turn it around.

"I don't think we got off to the best start in that series. It was 3-0 before we could even open our eyes ... Nashville was always a tough opponent. That playoff series, we felt that we got better as the series went on, and that was a good thing."

Head coach Joel Quenneville, having gone back to Corey Crawford in Game 2, turned to Game 1 hero Scott Darling in goal for Game 3. The rookie once again stood on his head, stopping 35 of the 37 shots he faced as the Chicago found its offensive rhythm with goals from across the lineup in Andrew Desjardins, Jonathan Toews, Brandon Saad and Brent Seabrook.

The 4-2 victory in Game 3 was the first of three wins over the last four games as the Blackhawks took the First Round series in six.

"Towards the end of the regular season you could tell that Joel was really confident in the bigger goaltender, what Darling can bring," Sharp said. "In the early games of that First Round by Darling was impressive ... He was probably the MVP of that round one."
