A late third period comeback bid fell short as the Blackhawks dropped a 5-4 decision to the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday evening in Chicago. Max Domi buried two goals. MacKenzie Entwistle tallied two points (1G, 1A). Boris Katchouk scored his first goal of the season and added three hits in the contest. Patrick Kane recorded an assist and has points (1G, 3A) in four of his last five games. Kane also leads the Blackhawks with 17 points (3G, 14A) in 22 games this season. Jake McCabe blocked a team-high (tied) three shots and currently shares 13th in the league with 49 blocks this season. Arvid Soderblom made 36 saves.

VS. THE RANGERS

The Blackhawks are 5-3-0 in their last eight games at Madison Square Garden dating back to the start of the 2011-12 season. Patrick Kane has 16 points (6G, 10A) in 19 career games against the Rangers, with nine points (4G, 5A) coming in nine games at Madison Square Garden. During Chicago's last trip to the Garden, Kane notched a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to the Rangers on Dec. 4, 2021. Forward Max Domi notched two third-period goals on Wednesday evening against Edmonton. Domi now has nine points (3G, 6A) over his last ten games dating back to Nov. 10 at Los Angeles. Domi currently ranks second on the team with seven goals this season.

Defensemen Seth Jones and Jack Johnson each tallied over three minutes of shorthanded time on ice during Wednesday evening's game. The pair helped the Blackhawks to a perfect 4/4 on the penalty-kill against the Oilers.

MACK ATTACK

Forward MacKenzie Entwistle recorded an assist and his first goal of the season during Wednesday's game against the Edmonton Oilers. It's the first multi-point game of his NHL career.
