The Blackhawks continue their three-game road trip on Saturday evening against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena. It’ll be the third and final meeting between the two clubs this season. On April 4, 1982, Denis Savard recorded two assists during a 4-3 win over the Minnesota North Stars at Chicago Stadium. It brought his season total to 87 assists, a still-standing franchise record for most assists in a season. Savard later tied the record in the 1987–88 season.

On April 4, 1945, Paul Thompson resigned as Head Coach of the Blackhawks. As a player, he logged 264 points (118G, 146A) in 365 career games with the Blackhawks. He’s known for being the first NHL coach to pull his goalie.
