For the second straight night, the Blackhawks never led in the 60 minutes of regulation, but battled back from a two-goal hole to earn a point in Dallas, falling to the Stars 4-3 in overtime.
Alex DeBrincat netted his team-leading 17th of the season to open the Chicago scoring, Dylan Strome found his third of the year in the second and Dominik Kubalik tied the game late in the third to force the extra frame. Kevin Lankinen made 35 stops in the loss.

Just over two minutes into a five-minute major assessed to Brett Connolly, the Stars opened the scoring off an entry rush. Joe Pavelski walked down the far wall and tried a cross-ice feed that deflected off the skate of Seth Jones in the slot and past Kevin Lankinen for a 1-0 lead.

1st - 7:24 - Joe Pavelski (Roope Hintz, Alexander Radulov) -- PP

Still on the power play after the major, Joe Pavelski netted his second of the period a few minutes later with a redirect in the slot of a Rope Hintz centering feed, putting a shot between the legs of Kevin Lankinen for a 2-0 advantage.

2nd - 5:04 - Alex DeBrincat (Patrick Kane, Erik Gustafsson) -- PP

The Blackhawks got on the board on their first power play of the night as Alex DeBrincat netted a goal on his 24th birthday. Off a zone entry, Brandon Hagel left a puck at the point for the late-trailing Erik Gustafsson, who hit Patrick Kane at the side of the net for a quick feed across the top of the crease to DeBrincat for a one-time tally and a 2-1 game.

2nd - 5:18 - Jason Robertson (Roope Hintz)

Jason Robertson and the Stars answered back 14 seconds later as the winger walked out of the corner following a scrum and shoveled a low-angle backhander past Kevin Lankinen on the near side for a 3-1 lead.

2nd - 6:47 - Dylan Strome (Brandon Hagel, Caleb Jones)

Dylan Strome and Brandon Hagel combined for a 2-on-1 tally to pull within a goal again. The duo sprung out of their defensive end as Caleb Jones fed Hagel with a long stretch pass in transition. Hagel brought the puck across the blue line as Strome drove the back post, taking a saucer feed from the former to bury his third of the season to make it 3-2.

3rd - 11:55 - Dominik Kubalik (Brandon Hagel)

Chicago pulled level in the game late in the third. Brandon Hagel was in an opportune position off a Dallas turnover in their own zone and put a shot on goal that Dominik Kubalik tipped home in front for a 3-3 score.
