The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Dylan Anhorn on a one-year, two-way contract ($850,000 salary cap hit) and defenseman Connor Mackey on a two-year, two-way contract ($937,500 salary cap hit).

Anhorn, 27, skated in 46 regular-season contests with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 2025-26 season, ranking fourth among club defensemen with 14 assists and 17 points. He also registered three points (1G, 2A) in seven Calder Cup Playoff games last season.

The 6-foot, 190-pound blueliner has compiled 34 points (6G, 28A) in 95 career regular-season AHL games with Manitoba. Additionally, the Calgary, Alberta native has posted three points (1G, 2A) in eight career postseason games with the club.

Mackey, 29, appeared in three regular-season NHL games with the New York Rangers during the 2025-26 campaign, compiling two hits and two blocked shots. He also served as an alternate captain and recorded 18 points (5G, 13A) in 62 regular-season AHL games with the Hartford Wolfpack (AHL). He shared first among club blueliners with five goals and ranked fourth with 13 assists and 18 points.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound defenseman has played in 45 career regular-season NHL games split between the Calgary Flames, Arizona Coyotes and Rangers, totaling 11 points (4G, 7A). He’s also registered 105 points (21G, 84A) in 252 career regular-season AHL games between the Stockton Heat and Wolf Pack. Additionally, he has posted four points (1G, 3A) in seven career Calder Cup Playoff contests.

The native of Tower Lakes, Ill., helped Team USA to a bronze medal at the 2021 IIHF World Championship, notching one assist in seven games. He also logged three points (1G, 2A) in 10 games with USA at the 2023 IIHF World Championship.
