2nd Star: Alec Regula (OHL)

The Line: 3GP, 2G

The London Knights defenseman is currently on a two-game point streak with goals in back-to-back games this weekend. Both came on the power play, one in a 6-3 loss against the Owen Sound Attack on Dec. 6 and the second in a 3-1 win over Guelph Storm on Dec. 8. Regula secured a spot on the prelimentary roster of the 2020 U.S. National Junior Team.

3rd Star: Dylan Sikura (AHL)

The Line: 3GP, 1G, 2A

The Rockford winger had a busy week playing three games in as many days. Sikura played with Rockford on Friday and Saturday night before getting the call up to the Blackhawks in time for Sunday's game vs. Arizona. The Ontario native scored the lone regulation goal in Friday's 2-1 shootout win against the Grand Rapids Griffins andleads the team in goals (9) and points (16).

Around the system:

  • Tyler Sikura has an assist in each of his last three games played for the IceHogs
  • Niklas Nordgen (HIFK) and Antti Saarela (Ilves) were both named to Finland's selection camp roster for the 2020 World Juniors.
