OPPONENT TO WATCH:
One player to watch, should he suit up tonight, is Andreas Athanasiou. The 24-year-old center has been playing very well this preseason and has scored two goals in two games, including one against the Blackhawks already. Athanasiou was a fourth-round pick of Detroit in 2012 and scored 18 goals last season with the big club.
