HOME SWEET HOME

Chicago is 41-36-19-3 all-time in home-opening games. The Blackhawks have recorded a point in nine of their last 15 home openers (8-6-1). Tuesday night's game will be the 100th home opener in franchise history. This will be the sixth home-opening game against the Blues in franchise history (3-2-0). Teuvo Teravainen is riding a three-game point streak (1G, 4A) in home openers and has recorded a point (2G, 5A) in four of his last five home-opening games. Frank Nazar had two assists in last season's home opener versus the Montreal Canadiens. Defenseman Sam Rinzel scored the first of his four goals in 2025-26 during the team's home-opening game against the Canadiens.

A HELPING HAND

Anton Frondell and Alex Vlasic each handed out two assists in Saturday's contest at Buffalo, matching their career highs. Frondell's two helpers lifted him to double-digit points (11) in 15 career games. Among active Blackhawks, Vlasic now ranks fifth in career assists (63) with the team. The duo shares the team lead in assists and points so far this season. Nick Lardis and Teuvo Teravainen also chipped in their first assists of the 2026-27 campaign on Saturday night. Teravainen is eight assists (92) shy of reaching 100 in his Blackhawks career.

DOMINATING THE DOT

Chicago's trio of Ryan Greene, Roman Kantserov and Oliver Moore combined to go 17-for-27 (63%) in the faceoff dot at Buffalo on Saturday. Greene won eight faceoffs against the Sabres, marking the most he's had in a game this season and his highest total since he collected nine against San Jose on Feb. 2, 2026. Moore leads the team with a 66.7 % (6-for-9) faceoff winning percentage in 2026-27. Kantserov ranks third on the team in faceoff wins (14) through the club's first three games.
