Staal

It's Minnesota Wild day at
NHL.com
, which can mean only one thing: the hockey season can't be too far away.
For those keeping score at home, the beginning of training camp is a mere 30 days away, with Minnesota's preseason opener at Winnipeg coming just three days after that.
The Wild open the regular season against the Colorado Avalanche in just 50 days and begin the home portion of the schedule against the Vegas Golden Knights in 52.

As part of the site's 31 in 31 series, NHL.com's Adam Kimelman spoke to Jason Zucker and Paul Fenton about the Wild's offseason and the
confidence each has
in the group moving forward.

The health of forward Zach Parise and defenseman Ryan Suter are among the
three biggest questions
the Wild will have to answer heading into the season.

NHL.com also went
inside the numbers
on the historic year for Eric Staal, who tied a franchise record by scoring 42 goals last season. In addition, his possession and shot-based metrics have made him one of the top forwards in the game in recent seasons. The Wild also got plenty of offense from defense, ranking second in the NHL in points from its defensemen last year.
Jordan Greenway and Luke Kunin got their first taste of the NHL last season and are
among the top prospects
in the Wild system heading into 2018-19.
