Honoring our military men and women

The first 8,000 fans in attendance will receive a Stars camo hat, presented by City Credit Union, and Stars players will wear special Military Appreciation jerseys during warmup. These jerseys will be available for fans to bid on following the game through the Dallas Stars Foundation. Proceeds from the auction, and the night's 50/50 Raffle, will benefit Dallas Warriors Hockey, a club dedicated to injured and disabled U.S. military veterans.

'You said you read me like a book'

• The Stars and Red Wings meet for the first of two games during the 2021-22 season. Last season, the two clubs met eight times with the Stars earning a 6-2-0 series record.
• Dallas is riding a 10-game home point streak (8-0-2) against Detroit, the club's second-longest active home winning streak and point streak against one opponent (longest win and point streak: 13-0-0 in last 13 games vs. Arizona on home ice).
Denis Gurianov led all Stars skaters in scoring last season against the Red Wings with eight points (two goals, six assists) in eight games.
Joe Pavelski led Dallas with three goals in 2021-22 vs. Detroit and had one game-winning goal. Pavelski leads all current Stars with 20 goals and 33 points in a team-high 45 career games against Detroit.
John Klingberg has 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 17 career games against the Red Wings and has inked the scoresheet in six of his nine games (four goals, four assists) vs. Detroit at American Airlines Center.
Roope Hintz notched five points (two goals, three assists) in five games in 2021-22 vs. Detroit and has earned points in all but two of his eight career contests (five goals, four assists) against them.
• In 2021-22, Anton Khudobin registered a 4-0-0 record and posted a 1.57 goals-against average, .922 save percentage and one shutout in five appearances against Detroit. Over his career, he has a 6-2-0 record with a 2.38 GAA and .903 SV%.
• Last season against the Red Wings, Jake Oettinger earned his first career NHL win in his regular-season debut on Jan. 28, 2021. The netminder went 2-2-0 in four games vs Detroit in 2020-21, registering a 3.06 GAA and .867 SV%.

'Can you see? My eyes are shining bright 'cause I'm out here'

• Pavelski potted a power-play goal on Saturday, extending his point streak to six games (three goals, three assists).
• His six-game point streak is his longest of the 2021-22 campaign and his longest since inking the scoresheet in seven-straight contests (five goals, four assists) from Feb. 1-16, 2020.
• The native of Plover, Wisconsin skated in his 1,099 career NHL contest on Saturday night vs. Philadelphia and is scheduled to hit the 1,100 game plateau on Tuesday vs. Detroit. He'll become the 205th player in NHL history and only the 28th American-born player to reach this milestone.
• Additionally, Pavelski potted the 398th goal of his NHL career on Saturday night and is two goals away from the 400-goal plateau. In 1,099 career NHL games, he's registered 851 points (398 goals, 453 assists).
• This season, Pavelski ranks tied for second on the club with four goals and eight points in 13 contests. He leads the team with three power-play goals and ranks second with five power-play points.

'Well, if you carry on this way'

Alexander Radulov notched an assist on Saturday night against the Flyers and now has points in six of his past seven contests (one goal, five assists).
• The 35-year-old is tied for second on the Stars with six helpers so far this season, while he shares fourth on Dallas with six points (one goal, six assists).
• Radulov also ranks second among Dallas forwards and sixth among all Stars skaters with 18:21 TOI per game.
• In four career games against the Red Wings at American Airlines Center, Radulov has posted three points (two goals, one assist). Radulov only appeared in three games last season against Detroit and notched one assist.

Before you take off for the game, please be advised of the following operational, health and safety protocols currently in place at American Airlines Center:
Mask Policy:In accordance with the Dallas County mask order, masks will be required upon entry to American Airlines Center. It is not required to submit a health screening in advance. Health and safety protocols could change at any point based on NHL, federal, state or local guidance.
Bag Policy:Wristlet, clutch or wallet 4.5x6.5 allowed at all entrances. Purses no larger than 14x14x6 will be allowed at designated X-ray entry points. No backpack or large totes allowed. Remote Bag Check at Silver Garage will be available for fans who need to check bags that are too large.
Re-Entry Policy: Re-entry is not allowed at any event at the American Airlines Center. For certain situations such as medical needs, re-entry can be approved by the Guest Services Supervisor at the door.
Smoking Policy: Guests can smoke at JD Patio and ULTRA Club Patio. No smoking areas will be located on Platinum level. All guests must be re-screened prior to entry back into the building.
Cashless Transactions: Be sure to bring your debit/credit card to AAC for cashless transactions. No cash will be accepted.
