2020 will be long remembered for the many challenges presented by COVID-19 and the heightened awareness of systemic social injustice throughout America. It was a turbulent year filled with adversity, strife, and many unanswered questions for which we are still looking for answers.

For the Sharks organization, 2020 was also a difficult year. The NHL and AHL seasons were cut short, forcing an abrupt end to the season for both the Sharks and Barracuda with the cancellation of several hockey games. Additionally, many concerts and family shows were either canceled or postponed, and our three public ice facilities in San Jose, Fremont, and Oakland were forced to close their doors to the hundreds of thousands of patrons, youth and adult, who utilize those facilities each day.
However, during a year of turmoil and hardship, there were still many achievements for which the Sharks organization is proud to celebrate. Here is a look back and some highlights achieved by the Sharks organization in 2020:
The Sharks organization is proud of the work we have done but know that there is much more to do in 2021. We will look to continue these efforts with our partners and fans and to serve as a leader in our community.
