Welcome to the Gameday Blog, which will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets.
Tonight the San Jose Sharks host the Edmonton Oilers in a Pacific Division showdown - and the only game of the night in the NHL.
The San Jose Sharks are coming off a 4-0 win over the St. Louis Blues. Aaron Dell had 30 saves in the team's first shutout of the year, while Erik Karlsson (1st), Evander Kane (7th) and Joe Pavelski (12th and 13th) provided the goals. The win helped keep the Sharks atop of the Pacific Division standings in the very close - yet very early - race.
The Edmonton Oilers come in after dropping their previous game 6-3 to the Vegas Golden Knights. While 6 points behind the Sharks in the standings, they have the always-dangerous Connor McDavid to worry about.
Sharks fans can tune into tonight's game on NBCSCA or on the national broadcast on NBCSN. In addition, Sharks fans can listen on 98.5 KFOX or the Sharks radio network, or tune in on the Sharks + SAP Center app.
