Tonight the Sharks wrap up 2018 against the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Team Teal looks to push their road winning streak to five games as they face the Calgary Flames for the second time this season. The last meeting between the clubs, San Jose won 3-1 at SAP Center on November 11th. Joe Pavelski recorded three points and Evander Kane and Joonas Donskoi both scored a goal and registered an assist. Entering tonight, Erik Karlsson has assists in his last nine appearances and Tomas Hertl is on a three-game goal streak.
The Sharks are coming off a 7-4 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night. The Sharks scored six straight goals after surrendering the first of the game en route to a 7-4 win. Erik Karlsson led all Sharks skaters in points with one goal and three assists and became just the sixth defenseman in franchise history to record four points in a game. Melker Karlsson scored his first career multi-goal game with two goals. Logan Couture also saw the back of the net twice against the Oilers. Joe Thornton tied B. Shanahan (1,524) for 17th on the NHL's all-time games played list.
The Flames lead the Pacific Division ahead of the Golden Knights and Sharks.
