Welcome to the Gameday Blog, which will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets.
Tonight the Sharks head back out on the road as they pay a visit to the Chicago Blackhawks. This is the first time this season these two teams have met.
The Sharks last game was also against a Central Division opponent, when they hosted the Dallas Stars on Thursday night. Joe Thornton scored the game-winner (his fifth goal of the year), while Timo Meier scored twice - his second two-goal game in as many days, and his 17th and 18th goals of the season.
The Sharks hope to continue their win streak tonight against a Blackhawks team that has struggled this season. The special teams battle looks to be important tonight; the Blackhawks have the 31st and 30th power play and penalty kill respectively, and it would be prudent for the Sharks to take advantage of that.
Sharks fans can tune into tonight's game on NBCSCA. In addition, Sharks fans can listen on 98.5 KFOX or the Sharks radio network, or tune in on the Sharks + SAP Center app.
