Senators reduce 2019-20 training camp roster by 11 players

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today reduced their training camp roster by 11 players. Three players were returned to their respective junior clubs, three were assigned to the American Hockey League's Belleville Senators' training camp, four were released from amateur tryouts and one player was released from his professional tryout agreement with the club.

The three players returned to junior include goaltenders Kevin Mandolese (Cape Breton, QMJHL) and Mads Sogaard (Medicine Hat, WHL) along with forward Jonathan Gruden (London, OHL).
Forward Francois Beauchemin joins defencemen Michael Brodzinski and Jack Dougherty as players assigned to Belleville's AHL training camp.
Forwards Adam Capannelli, Chris Clapperton and Maxim Trépanier along with defenceman Conner McDonald were released from amateur tryouts, while forward Nathan Todd has been released from his professional tryout agreement with the Senators. Clapperton and Todd will also join Belleville's training camp.
The Senators training camp roster is now composed of 52 players: five goaltenders, 16 defencemen and 31 forwards.
