The Ottawa Senators will celebrate Pride Night presented by CIBC on Thursday when they host the Buffalo Sabres, spotlighting inclusion, community, and the ongoing effort to make hockey a welcoming space for everyone.
Fans attending the game can take part in a number of initiatives throughout the night. Pride Night vendors will be set up at Upper Gate 1, including the Senators Community Foundation table, where you can grab a limited-edition Sens water bottle and Sens themed stickers for $25 to help us raise funds for front-line inclusive programs.
The Senators Community Foundation has an aspirational goal of raising $60,000 to support the following 6 local charities:
PRISM is a mentoring program through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa, connecting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth with adult mentors who share their lived experiences — building confidence, belonging, and support.
Jeunesse Idem provides vital services and safe spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth across the Outaouais, helping young people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Shiftmakers Tour, led by Brock McGillis, is transforming hockey culture — visiting local teams to promote respect, inclusion, and positive change in our game.
Centre 33 offers youth led programming and safe space for 2SLGBTQIA+ children & youth.
Capital Rainbow Refuge supports LGBTQI+ refugees to arrive and thrive in Eastern Ontario.
And right here at home, Ottawa Pride Hockey is creating a welcoming space where players of all identities and skill levels can enjoy the sport we all love.
