Mikael Granlund makes his return to Minnesota tonight with his new club as the Nashville Predators face the Wild at Xcel Energy Center to begin a home-and-home set. It's the second of four meetings this season between the divisional foes and the first of three showdowns that will take place this month.
Less than one week ago, Granlund was sent to Nashville at the Trade Deadline in exchange for Kevin Fiala, a deal that was consummated between Preds General Manager David Poile and Minnesota GM Paul Fenton, Poile's former assistant GM in Tennessee.
In addition to Fiala, former Preds Anthony Bitetto, Pontus Aberg and Brad Hunt are also on the other side now, all added by Fenton, and it'll be the first time Fiala and Bitetto have faced Nashville since departing for Minnesota.

The Predators will be looking to close out their two-game trip with a win after suffering a 5-3 loss in Winnipeg on Friday night. Granlund made his debut in that contest, recording an assist in more than 18 minutes of ice time.
Nashville practiced on Saturday afternoon in Minnesota, and forwards Craig Smith and Miikka Salomaki, both of whom remain on Injured Reserve, joined their teammates on the ice.
