It was a busy week for the Panthers, as Nick Bjugstad was crowned a champion, the Panthers helped in the community and some Cats worked on their tans in Barbados!

PANTHERS IN PARADISE

The Panthers visited Wiley, Barbados this week to host the NHL's first ice hockey clinic in the Caribbean. Panthers defensemen Alexander Petrovic andIan McCoshen were head instructors, with Panthers alumni and Vice President, Business Operations Shawn Thornton and Vice President of Broadcasting and Alumni Randy Moller joining them.

BJUGY'S A WINNER

Da Beauty League wrapped up it's summer games this week, with Nick Bjugstad and team RBC winning the 2nd Annual John Scott Cup!

Bjugstad was by far one of the most productive players during Da Beauty League's regular season, finishing tied for second in league scoring with 18 points (11-7-18) in eight games. He even played a pivotal role in the Championship game, netting this sweet goal.

HUBERDEAU IS A HALL-OF-FAMER

The Saint Johns Sea Dogs are no strangers to the talent Jonathan Huberdeau has, as he is one of the most decorated played in their franchise history. As a result, they will be honoring Huberdeau by making him the first inductee into the new Sea Dogs Hall of Fame next summer.
Huby joined the Sea Dogs as a first-round pick in 2009 and spent three-and-a-half seasons in a Saint John uniform. In his second season, he led the Sea Dogs to the 2011 President Cup championship and a MasterCard Memorial Cup title, where he was named MVP of the tournament. He then captained the Sea Dogs to the 2012 President Cup championship.
Huberdeau is the team's all-time leading scorer with 257 points, and sits second in goals (104) and assists (153). He won numerous team awards, including Most Valuable Player in 2011 and back-to-back Fans Choice Awards in 2011 and 2012. Click HERE for the full release from the Sea Dogs.

DAY OF SERVICE

The Florida Panthers volunteered at the Carver Ranches Boys & Girls Club as part of the Panthers Day of Service.

Close to 70 volunteers from the Panthers staff took part in refurbishing equipment around the club which included painting, building picnic tables, and landscaping.
