EDMONTON, AB -Oilers defenceman Oscar Klefbom has been dealing with some discomfort in his shoulder this season, but playing through it. The blueliner said Sunday after practice that, following treatment, he's feeling better and ready to close out the season.
"I feel good," he said. "Just with battling wise and shooting wise, it feels so much better."
Klefbom indicated that skipping World Championships this spring may be the best thing for him so that he can come back 100% for the 2018-19 campaign.
"We've been talking a lot about going to World Championships and stuff like that. My priority is right here with the Edmonton Oilers, and if I can have a good summer of rehab and not going to Worlds I'd like to do that so I can be ready."
