The 22-year-old forward last played an NHL regular-season game Feb. 4, 2017, when he tore his left ACL against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Fabbri tore the same ACL during training camp a year ago and missed all of last season. He missed the first month this season because of a sore hip, sore back and Grade 1 groin strain.
Defenseman Carl Gunnarsson also will make his season debut for the Blues and play for the first time since March 23, 2018, when he tore his left ACL against the Vancouver Canucks. Gunnarsson also had offseason surgery on his right hip.
Goalie Jake Allen will start for the Blues. He left late in the second period of a 7-3 win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday following a collision with teammate Zach Sanford.
The Blues are 2-1-1 in their past four games after beginning the season 1-3-2.
The Golden Knights are 1-2-1 in their past four games following a three-game winning streak. Vegas has held opponents to two goals or fewer in nine of 12 games this season.
