SEATTLE --Philipp Grubauer made 17 saves for the Seattle Kraken in a 4-0 win against the Vancouver Canucks at Climate Pledge Arena on Saturday.
Grubauer has stopped all 27 shots he's faced in two games this preseason. Yanni Gourde had two goals and an assist, and Alex Wennberg had a goal and two assists for the Kraken. Thatcher Demko made 22 saves for the Canucks. Matty Beniers gave Seattle a 1-0 lead at 6:42 of the second period, beating Demko glove side from the high slot. Wennberg scored 58 seconds into the third period to push it to 2-0. Gourde made it 3-0 at 7:15 before he shot into an empty net with 2:45 remaining for the 4-0 final.
