"We're doing the small little things pretty well right now," Barkov said. "We played a good defensive game. Our goalie has been standing on his head all the time and giving us a chance to win. Everything is going well right now, but at this point we don't want to stop. We still have a lot of things to do. Every game we try to be a little better."
Sateri has won each of the games during the winning streak. He made his fifth consecutive start with Roberto Luongo and James Reimer out because of lower-body injuries.
"My confidence is going up all the time when you get those wins and good games," Sateri said. "I feel like I've been pretty consistent."
Markus Granlund scored for the Canucks (21-26-6), who began a four-game road trip. Jacob Markstrom made 37 saves.

Barkov broke a 1-1 tie at 16:08 of the second period when he split defensemen Ben Hutton and Erik Gudbranson at the blue line after taking a pass from Mark Pysyk, skated in alone on Markstrom and scored with a backhand between the legs.
"Our D-men disturbed him a little bit, but he's such a shifty player," Markstrom said. "I waited as long as I could so he wouldn't put it back on my forehand and make me look stupid. I thought I had it good, but it trickled through my pad and glove."
Barkov scored again with 41.5 seconds remaining.
Jamie McGinn scored the only goal of the first period on a power play at 16:28. After grabbing a rebound in front of the net, McGinn went to move the puck to his forehand and Chris Tanev accidentally knocked it into his own net while poke-checking.

"I'm just trying to drag it to the middle and either I put it in the net or (Aaron) Ekblad is open backdoor, or you get some puck luck from their D," McGinn said. "It's good to see it hit the back of the net and help out the second (power-play) unit."
Granlund tied it 1-1 at 11:40 with a shorthanded goal. After a turnover in the neutral zone, Granlund had a breakaway and beat Sateri with a low shot to the stick side. It was Granlund's first goal in 19 games.
"We didn't have enough to find another goal in us, and I don't think we played well enough to get another goal," Canucks coach Travis Green said. "I think our whole overall game struggled. It didn't feel like there was a whole lot of energy in the game overall, but that's by no means an excuse. We didn't play as well as we could play and that's disappointing, for sure."

They said it

"It's a full-time job. We have to show up to the rink every day and every game, myself included. We have to play 60 minutes. If we do that, we're a good hockey team. But all year we haven't done that consistently, and that has to change." -- Canucks goalie Jacob Markstrom
"We've had great starts the last four games. We got on top of teams early, and that's what we need to do. We had a little bit of a letup in the second period, but then in the third period we got back to putting pucks deep, putting them in spots we could get them back. And then Barky does Barky things, and Harri is making huge saves for us." -- Panthers forward Jamie McGinn
