The Blackhawks dropped the third and final game of their road trip in overtime on Saturday in Vegas, 5-4. Chicago held a 3-0 lead heading into the third period, but three Golden Knights goals in a span of 1:52 tied things up early in the frame before Evgenii Dadonov decided the game in the extra period.
Dominik Kubalik, Jonathan Toews, Dylan Strome and Alex DeBrincat all scored on the afternoon for the visitors. Kevin Lankinen made 29 saves, including a perfect 17-for-17 mark through the opening 40 minutes.

BLACKHAWK OF THE GAME: DeBrincat netted a goal, an assist and a team-high six shots on goal. It was his third straight one goal, one assist game of the trip and sixth multi-point outing in his last 10 games.
STAT OF THE AFTERNOON: Strome extended his point streak to five games (3G, 4A) with his second-period tally. He now has points in 10 of his last 11 games after registering a career-long six-game point streak (7G, 4A) from March 3-12.
UP NEXT: Chicago returns home to face the Buffalo Sabres on Monday evening at the United Center.

1st - 10:02 - Dominik Kubalik (Jake McCabe, Jonathan Toews)

Chicago got on the board midway through the first as a Dominik Kubalik scored his 12th of the season. Off an offensive-zone faceoff win by Jonathan Toews, Kubalik scooped in and sent the puck back to Jake McCabe at the point before working his way to the middle of the ice inside the blue line. McCabe sent the puck back to Kubalik for the point shot that tipped off a Vegas stick and past Logan Thompson in goal for a 1-0 advantage.

2nd - 14:52 - Jonathan Toews (Alex DeBrincat)

The Blackhawks doubled their lead late in the second period on a play that started and ended with the captain. Jonathan Toews kept a clearance in along the near-side boards and banked the puck off the end wall and around to the far side, where Alex DeBrincat corralled it along the far boards. The winger waited and then found Toews sneaking to the back post with a perfect pass, which the veteran neatly tucked home at the back door for a 2-0 lead.

2nd - 18:16 - Dylan Strome (Caleb Jones, Patrick Kane)

Chicago wasn't done in the second, scoring just over three minutes later to make it 3-0. Dylan Strome possessed the puck in the slot before sending a pass back to Caleb Jones inside the blue line. Jones put a hard shot on goal that Logan Thompson turned aside with the pad, but sending a big rebound out wide right to Strome along the wall. The forward put a quick shot into the net from a low angle for the three-goal lead.

3rd - 1:24 - Chandler Stevenson (Evgenii Dadonov)

On the heels of a Blackhawks 2-on-1 right at one end of the ice, the Golden Knights went right back the other way and scored on a rush of their own to make it a 3-1 game. Chandler Stevenson caught a breakout pass from Evgenii Dadonov just outside his own blue line and walked all the way into the offensive end, wiring a wrister past the blocker of Kevin Lankinen to get on the board.

3rd - 2:23 - William Karlsson (Dylan Coghlan, Jonathan Marchessault)

Vegas struck again 59 seconds later to make it a one-goal game. Standing in the high slot, William Karlsson got a tip on Dylan Coghlan's shot from the point, sending the puck against the grain and past Kevin Lankinen for a 3-2 score.

3rd - 3:16 - Jack Eichel (Chandler Stephenson, Shea Theodore)

The Golden Knights tied the game 53 seconds later as Jack Eichel took a pass in the slot form Chandler Stephenson, deked around Kevin Lankinen the edge of his crease and puck a backhander into the empty net on the other side for a tie game at 3-3.

3rd - 8:57 - Alex DeBrincat (Patrick Kane, Seth Jones)

Chicago regained the lead midway through the period as Alex DeBrincat made it 4-3 with a top-shelf snipe. Patrick Kane fed the winger with a seam pass the width of the ice, where DeBrincat tucked a shot into the top corner for a 4-3 lead.

3rd - 9:40 - Alex Pietrangelo (Nicolas Roy, Mattias Janmark)

Vegas answered right back when an Alex Pietrangelo shot from the point found its way through a mass of bodies in front and past a screened Kevin Lankinen to deadlock things once again, 4-4.
