WHERE: Capital One Arena | WHEN: 3 p.m. (AZ time) | TV:FOX Sports Arizona | RADIO:ESPN 620 AM

ABOUT THE 'YOTES:
• Arizona will enter the game as the NHL's second stingiest team. Opponents have scored just 38 goals vs. the Coyotes in 15 games.
• The Coyotes are the NHL's best penalty-killing team with a 91.5 percent success rate. Arizona has given up just four power-play goals while scoring nine short-handed goals.
• Backup Darcy Kuemper is expected to again start in goal in place of Antti Raanta, who is nursing a lower-body injury. Kuemper has started the past three games, including a 4-0 loss at Pittsburgh on Saturday night in which he made 28 saves. Kuemper has played one game vs. Washington in his career. In it, he stopped 24 of 27 shots for Minnesota in a 3-2 loss at Capital One Arena on Feb. 26, 2016.
Clayton Keller and Christian Fischer, both of whom recently played in their 100th NHL games, each have scored two goals vs. the Capitals in their short careers.
• Dylan Strome ranks first on the team and sixth in the NHL in face-off winning percentage (57.7).
• Arizona likely will play minus Alex Goligoski, who is nursing a lower-body injury. Look for Ilya Lyubushkin or Dakota Mermis to take his place should he miss a second consecutive game. Goligoski ranks second among Arizona defensemen with seven points (one goal, six assists) and is a key penalty killer.
• The Coyotes are 1-5-1 in their past seven games played at Washington dating to the 2009-10 season.
ABOUT THE CAPITALS:
Washington is ending a five-game homestand; the Caps are 2-1-1 thus far ... Washington is ranked second in the NHL in power-play percentage at 32.7 ... Evgeny Kuznetsov leads the team with 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) and is tied for second in the NHL with six power-play goals ... Alex Ovechkin also has scored six power-play goals and 12 overall. Only Boston's David Pastrnak (15) has scored more ... John Carlson is expected back in the lineup after missing Friday's game vs. Columbus because of a lower-body injury. Carlson ranks fourth in scoring among NHL defensemen with 18 points (five goals, 13 assists) ... Braden Holtby has stopped 75 of 78 shots over his past two games.
'YOTES QUOTES:
• "Everyone's got a nasty schedule at some point. I thought we did a real good job of taking advantage of a schedule that was a little bit lighter. Now the heavy stuff comes and it's kind of nice when you have a game where maybe you didn't think you were as sharp as you could be to be able to get a kick right back at it." -- Derek Stepan
