After spending the first seven days of training camp at the Flyers Training Center (FTC) in Voorhees and sustaining a 3-2 overtime loss on Tuesday to the New York Islanders at the Wells Fargo Center, the Flyers will take to the road for the first time this preseason.

On Thursday evening, the Flyers will play the Boston Bruins in Beantown at TD Garden. Game time is 7 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on TNT and on the radio at 97.5 The Fanatic.
The Flyers held simultaneous Group A and Group B practice sessions on Wednesday. Much of the practice was special teams oriented. The Flyers went 0-for-3 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill in the preseason opener against the Islanders.
Head coach Alain Vigneault said after Wednesday's practice that two players who appeared in Tuesday's game -- 19-year-old right winger Tyson Foerster and veteran defenseman Nick Seeler -- will also dress in Boston. The rest of the lineup will be different. In goal, Martin Jones will start and play the first two periods. Felix Sandström will play the third period. The top two forward lines and top two defense pairs for the game in Boston are expected to be:

25 James van Riemsdyk - 48 Morgan Frost - 49 Joel Farabee
44 Nate Thompson - 21 Scott Laughton - 62 Nicolas Aube-Kubel
6 Travis Sanheim - 70 Rasmus Ristolainen
45 Cam York - 5 Adam Clendening
Other forwards who could appear in the Boston game: Linus Sandin, Cal O'Reilly, Gerry Mayhew, Elliot Desnoyers, Jackson Cates, Garrett Wilson, Samu Tuomaala or Matthew Strome.
Other defensemen apart from Seeler: Mason Millman, Wyatte Wylie, Brian Zanetti, Logan Day, Quinn Schmiemann, Jackson van de Leest.
Right winger Cam Atkinson took a maintenance day off from practice on Wednesday. He was not scheduled to play in Boston after making his Flyers preseason debut in the Islanders game. Atkinson is slated to return to the ice for practice with the non-game group at the FTC.
There was bad news on the injury front on Wednesday, delivered by Vigneault. Tanner Laczynski, who entered camp on the NHL roster bubble before injuring his left hip, is likely to undergo surgery. He will miss most or all of the 2021-22 season. Laczynski underwent right hip surgery in the spring to repair a torn labrum.
Additionally, power forward prospect Wade Allison right high ankle sprain, is undergoing consultation with doctors to determine if surgery is the preferable course of action. The player's current status is "out indefinitely."
TONIGHT'S OPPONENT: BOSTON BRUINS
The Bruins will play their first home game of the preseason when they host the Flyers. Boston has already played two road exhibition games this week. On Sunday, Boston skated to a 3-2 shootout win over the Washington Capitals against Capital One Arena. Jake DeBrusk scored in regulation and later tallied the shootout winner.
Two nights later, the Bruins sustained a 3-2 regulation loss against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Jack Studnicka potted a goal and added an assist in a losing cause.
Veteran center Charlie Coyle, who underwent knee surgery in the offseason, participated in his first full-contact practice of training camp on Monday.
