Dante Fabbro signed a two-year, $4.8 million contract with the Nashville Predators on Thursday. It has an average annual value of $2.4 million.

The 23-year-old defenseman, who was a restricted free agent, avoided a salary arbitration hearing scheduled for Aug. 20.
Fabbro scored 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in 40 games last season but did not play in the Stanley Cup First Round, when Nashville was eliminated by the Carolina Hurricanes in six games.
Selected by the Predators in the first round (No. 17) of the 2016 NHL Draft, Fabbro has scored 24 points (eight goals, 16 assists) in 108 regular-season games, and has one assist in 10 playoff games.
