There are four games on the NHL schedule for Monday, one of which is nationally televised in the United States and one in Canada. Here are five things to watch today, along with the complete game schedule.

Shark attack

There's nothing like starting off the season with a winning streak. In the first "Prime Monday Night Hockey" game of the season, the San Jose Sharks will look to go 3-0-0 when they visit the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center (8 p.m. ET; Prime Video, NBCSCA). The Sharks won their first two games of a season for the first time and forward Macklin Celebrini already has five assists, tied with Joe Thornton (2012-13) and Vincent Damphousse (1999-00) for the most after the first two games since San Jose joined the NHL for the 1991-92 season. The Stars (0-2-0) have scored one goal in two games after averaging 3.33 goals per game last season, ninth in the NHL.

Light 'em up

The Pittsburgh Penguins (2-0-0) have scored 13 goals in their first two games and their longtime stars, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, are leading the way with the Winnipeg Jets (1-0-1) coming to PPG Paints Arena (7:30 p.m. ET; SN-PIT, SN+). Crosby is one primary assist from tying Jaromir Jagr (684) for fifth in NHL history and two assists from tying Ray Bourque (1,111 for the Boston Bruins) for the most with one team. Malkin is the second 40-year-old to score in each of his team's first two games of a season after Gordie Howe did so in 1968-69.

Finding answers

The Philadelphia Flyers (0-1-2) are looking for their first win when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning at Benchmark International Arena (7 p.m. ET; The Spot, NHLN, NBCSP). Philadelphia has been outscored 13-4 in its first three games and may be without defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, who left with an undisclosed injury after playing one shift in the third period of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. Flyers coach Rick Tocchet did not have an update after practice Sunday. The Lightning (1-1-0) play the second of a three-game homestand after defeating the Washington Capitals 3-1 on Saturday. Jake Guentzel had a goal and two assists for his first points of the season.

Back home again

The Bruins (2-1-0) begin a three-game homestand against the Ottawa Senators (1-0-0) at TD Garden (7:30 p.m. ET; NESN, SN+, TVAS). Boston goalie Jeremy Swayman is 2-0-0 with a 1.47 goals-against average, .947 save percentage and one shutout in two starts. This is the second of a three-game road trip for the Senators, who defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 on Saturday. The Senators may be without Jake Sanderson after the defenseman reaggravated an undisclosed injury and left at 12:45 of the first period Saturday.

He scored two power-play goals in Winnipeg's 3-2 win against the Red Wings on Sunday and is fifth in Jets history with 75 power-play goals. Scheifele (96) is fourth.
