Vitali Kravtsov scored his first goal with the New York Rangers, and Artemi Panarin scored twice in a 3-1 preseason win against the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.

Kravtsov, the No. 9 pick of the 2018 NHL Draft, gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead at 2:07 of the second period. It was their first lead of the preseason.

Henrik Lundqvist made 13 saves in 30:06. Alexandar Georgiev made 16 saves in relief.

Jordan Eberle scored a third-period goal to make it 2-1, and Thomas Greiss made 27 saves for the Islanders.
