NYI@NYR: Clutterbuck backhands goal after takeaway

Cal Clutterbuck had a goal and two assists, and the New York Islanders defeated the New York Rangers 4-0 at Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday.
It was the first preseason game for each team. Casey Cizikas and Ross Johnston each had a goal and an assist, and Alex Jefferies had two assists for the Islanders. Brock Nelson made it 1-0 at 11:28 of the first period, and Cizikas extended the lead to 2-0 on a 4-on-3 power play at 17:08. Rangers forward Barclay Goodrow was serving a five-minute major after being called for boarding Islanders forward Kyle MacLean at 13:49. Goodrow also received a game misconduct on the play. Clutterbuck made it 3-0 at 12:44 of the second period, then fed Johnston for a one-timer in front at 4:50 of the third period for the 4-0 final. Ilya Sorokin made 13 saves playing 32:44 for the Islanders, and Jakub Skarek made 15 saves. Alexandar Georgiev saved 12 of 15 shots playing 32:44 for the Rangers, and Adam Huska made seven saves.
