Status report
Blackwood will play some games for Utica of the American Hockey League on a conditioning stint before returning to the Devils, coach Lindy Ruff said. The goalie, who has been out since Nov. 3, got extended work against the first power-play unit during the morning skate. … Wood said he felt good after practicing Sunday. He was removed from a 6-4 loss to the New York Islanders on Friday following a hit by Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov in the second period. Wood entered concussion protocol but was cleared later Friday and again before practice Sunday. … The Rangers did not have a morning skate. They practiced Sunday with the same top nine forwards used in wins at the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday and Colorado Avalanche on Friday. … Gauthier and Kravtsov, a forward, rotated on the fourth line.
